A golf cart is intended for private property and typically tops out near 15 mph. A street legal Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) is a recognised vehicle class capable of 20–25 mph and must carry DOT-rated equipment: headlights, tail and brake lights, turn signals, reflectors, mirrors, a parking brake, a DOT windshield, 3-point seat belts and a 17-digit VIN. MAC EV builds both configurations on the same reinforced chassis, so a dealer can stock one platform and serve both demand streams.
LiFePO4 packs deliver 2,000–3,500 cycles versus roughly 500–800 for flooded lead-acid, weigh up to 60% less, need no watering or terminal cleaning, and hold voltage under load so the vehicle keeps full torque on hills at low state of charge. For rental and resort fleets the labour saving alone usually justifies the upgrade within the second season, and opportunity charging between shifts becomes practical.
Real-world range depends on load, terrain and speed. A 105Ah platform with two passengers on flat paved paths typically returns 70–80 km; the same vehicle fully loaded on rolling terrain will return 45–55 km. Our 150Ah configuration extends this to roughly 100 km light and 65–75 km loaded. We publish these as measured ranges rather than best-case laboratory figures so fleet planners can size routes accurately.

We quote FOB, CIF and DAP terms, and advise on loading plans — a 40HQ container typically accommodates 8–10 four-passenger vehicles depending on roof and windshield configuration.
